Privacy Policy

Short version

Your code, prompts, and project state stay on your Mac. We don't upload your source, your agents' transcripts, or anything you generate.
You bring your own API keys. When you talk to Claude, Codex, Grok, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, etc., your prompts go directly from your Mac to that provider. We can't see those requests.
The licensing relay only sees what's needed for activation: an opaque per-Mac device ID (a salted hash, not your IOPlatformUUID itself), your license key, and timestamps. No project data.
No third-party analytics. No tracking pixels. No advertising.

Data we receive (and only what's needed)

Activation + licensing

License key + signed access token (issued by us).
Per-device opaque ID (SHA-256 of IOPlatformUUID + secret salt; we can't reverse it to your hardware).
Optional device label (your Mac's localizedName, e.g. "Casey's MacBook Pro") so you can see your devices in your account.
Timestamps + counts: when you activated, last seen, devices in use.
IP + User-Agent on each request (used for rate-limiting + spotting abuse; not joined to any other identity).

Billing (only if you subscribe)

Your email address (Stripe Checkout collects it; we receive it via the webhook).
Stripe subscription + customer IDs (so we can grant/revoke the license).
Payment details (card, billing address, country) are handled by Stripe directly. We never see card numbers.
Tax info is computed by Stripe Tax and stays with Stripe.

If you email collector@transistorkit.com, your message + reply chain land in our inbox. Standard email retention.

Data we don't receive

Your source code, your agents' transcripts, the files they read or write.
Your prompts to Claude / Codex / Grok / OpenAI / ElevenLabs / Apple Intelligence.
Generated images, music, sounds, or dialog takes.
What you build with TransistorKit.

Third parties (you decide which to use)

TransistorKit can talk to these services on your behalf, using your API keys. Their privacy policies govern that data:

Telemetry

TransistorKit has an optional "self-healing channel" toggle on first launch (off by default). When on, the app sends short, anonymous diagnostic notes to us if an agent reports the harness is misbehaving — never your code or prompts. You can flip it off any time in Settings → Telemetry.

Storage on your Mac

For transparency about where things live:

~/Library/Application Support/TransistorKit/ — project list, agent transcripts, app preferences, your license file (mode 0600).
~/TransistorKit/Projects/ — your project source code.
~/TransistorKit/Templates/ — starter project templates.
macOS UserDefaults — settings + the API keys you paste in.

Deleting the app doesn't delete these. Drag them to the Trash if you want a clean wipe.

Your rights

Email collector@transistorkit.com if you want us to:

Export the license/billing data we have on you.
Delete your account + cancel your subscription. (Cancelling stops billing; we keep transaction records for tax compliance — Stripe handles this.)
Correct anything that's wrong.

If you're in the EU/UK, the GDPR/UK-GDPR applies. If you're in California, the CCPA applies. Either way — same email, same response.

Children

TransistorKit is a developer tool. It's not designed for or directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy materially, we'll update the date at the top and post a note on our home page. Continuing to use TransistorKit after a change means you accept the updated policy.
